About the author: Khaled Fayyad a native of Lebanon, the ancient land of the cedars and the temple of the spirit of which Khalil Gibran was born. I moved to the United States at the age of eighteen where I have resided since. I began writing since my teens and it quickly became my refuge from the hardships that mar our world as well as the habitat within which I rejoice celebrant of life's own joy. And in both, hardship and joy, I have found love and affinity to be at the heart of all that is pertinent and fulfilling.
