"Aesop (Aesop's Fables) and Dr Seuss wrote children's stories with messages meant for adults.
We teach our children and read to them with fervor but often neglect to apply what we want them to learn in our own daily living.
We forget the lessons when we grow up.
In our zeal just to survive or succeed, we forget that life is better when we are good to each other."
(Coren Jonathan Allen)
Join Busboys and Poets for an exciting evening highlighting a panel of children's books that will lead humanity of all ages along pathways towards greater peace & harmony!
We believe it is invaluable to initiate adult dialogue within the context of the same books we read to our children...and in a nation of increasing polarization, there is perhaps no more important conversation than one that nourishes mutual respect, empathy and compassion.
If we really want to transform this place, we'll start with a shift in root narratives.
Book signings by all three authors will follow the panel session and Q&A.
