Description:

Join us for a conversation with scholar of fascism Jason Stanley about Gaza and the politics of antisemitism

We here at Busboys and Poets have been watching with horror as the siege on Gaza continues and the civilian death count rises day by day. In partnership with the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding of Georgetown University, we invite everyone to come and learn more about the history of settler colonialism, violence, and ongoing genocide in Palestine.

Scholar of fascism Jason Stanley is joining us on the Busboys stage alongside Dr. Nader Hashemi, Associate Professor of Middle East and Islamic Politics at Georgetown University. Stanley’s books will be available for purchase during and after the event, and he will be signing following the program.

This event is free and open to all. Our program begins at 6:00 pm, and will be followed by an audience Q&A. Copies of ERASING HISTORY and HOW FASCISM WORKS will be available for purchase before and after the event. Please note that this event is in person and will be livestreamed.

We ask that guests RSVP in order to receive direct updates about the event from Busboys and Poets Books
