About Occupy McKeldin
On Monday, April 3rd 2017 from 10am to 10pm, the UMD student organization Preventing Sexual Assault (PSA) will host Occupy McKeldin, an annual twelve-hour sit-in to demand support and action on campus sexual violence.
Occupy McKeldin aims to bring awareness to campus rape and show support for survivors. In addition to the sit-in there will be speakers from on and off campus, healing workshops, and a candlelit vigil. This year, several Bill Cosby survivors including Lillian Bernard, Charlotte Fox, and Victoria Valentino will be attending, speaking on behalf of their experiences, and running workshops aimed at supporting students dealing with trauma.
