Description:

DADDY, DADDY, CAN I BE AMBITIOUS? | A Busboys and Poets Books Presentation

Join us to learn what it means to be ambitious and children’s storytelling.

Author Joanne Sanders' new book is about a little girl named Joy who wishes to play for her school basketball team. Joy is nervous about tryouts, and her father encourages her to be ambitious. It is through conversations that Joy has with her father which prompt her to ask, "Can I Be Ambitious?"

This story teaches young children what it means to be ambitious. The concept of ambition is revealed as Joy and her father explore and share experiences from Joy's life. Parents can share and engage in conversations about being ambitious with their children as they read this story.

Joanne is joining the Busboys stage for a celebration event and book discussion. She will be joined in conversation by Beth Harbinson. This event is free and open to all. Our program begins at 6:00 pm, and will be followed by an audience Q&A. Copies of DADDY, DADDY, CAN I BE AMBITIOUS? will be available for purchase before and during the event. Please note that this event will NOT be livestreamed.

We ask that guests RSVP in order to receive direct updates about the event from Busboys and Poets Books.
