Description:

Author Don Wagner rushed to Sabra Shatila Refugee Camp in Beirut in 1982, the day after thousands of residents were massacred by Israeli-backed Lebanese militia. Witnessing the carnage was the low point of 50 years of activism pursuing justice for Palestinians – as told in his new memoir, “Glory to God in the Lowest: Journeys to an Unholy Land.”

Exactly 40 years later, Rev. Wagner joins with two survivors of the massacre – Nabil Mohamed, vice president, ADC, and Nurse Ellen Siegel -- and moderator Phyllis Bennis, senior analyst with the Institute for Policy Studies, to commemorate the massacre’s victims, raise awareness of the cruel plight of Palestinian refugees and light a path to ending their 75-year persecution.
