Description:

Politics & Prose at Busboys and Poets 5th & K welcomes Parag Khanna to present the new book  Connectography: Mapping the Future of Global Civilization.

In his third book, Khanna, a CNN global contributor and former Brookings fellow who has held posts at the World Economic Forum, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the New America Global Governance Initiative, profiles the next phase of globalism: global connectivity. Building on ideas outlined in The Second World and How to Run the World, Khanna defines this connectivity as predicated not on national boundaries, ideology, or even geography, but on commerce, supply chains, and networks of all kinds, from transportation to information, power grids to urban infrastructure, with the old maps of geopolitics giving way to new models of mapping.
