Join DC transit workers, riders, and their allies for our forum exploring the changing transit landscape in the District.
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and elected officials have created a District-only, “multi-modal” transit system with the creation of the DC Streetcar, Circulator, and Capital Bikeshare. Rather than expand a quality, integrated transit system to neighborhoods that need it, some of these modes have been misused to enrich developers and private contractors, bust unions, lower the wages of transit workers in the region, and thwart District laws.
D.C. deserves an affordable transit system for all, one that unites communities and creates good jobs for D.C. residents.
