Poetry
slam teams from 25 high schools in DC, MD, and VA come together to
share their individual and group poems in this month-long festival
celebrating the power of the written and spoken word.
PRELIM
SLAMS _ $5 OPEN TO THE PUBLIC (5 High Schools x 4 Rounds of Poetry
Slam)
Five
high school poetry slam teams from the DMV area compete in four
rounds of spoken word competition. The two top-scoring teams from
each Prelim move on to Semi-Finals. Each team consists of 4-6 poets
representing the high school's poetry club.
