A book club that explores anti-colonialism and anti-imperialism through literature, history, and lived experience. Together, we’ll read writers and thinkers who challenge empire, occupation, exploitation, and the lasting legacies of colonial rule, while examining movements of resistance, liberation, and self-determination in the United States and around the world.
This month, our club will discuss Freedom Is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine, and the Foundations of a Movement, a 2016 collection of essays, interviews, and speeches by renowned scholar and activist Angela Y. Davis.
We invite you to join the conversation. RSVP to let us know that you are coming to this meeting!
