A Busboys and
Poetry Event! For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of
voices and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open
mic rookies, musicians, and a different host every week. Tonight's host is Angelique Palmer. Angelique
Palmer is a writer first. Her pieces range from erotica to
eclectic- focusing mostly on family, love, addiction and recovery.
She is the author of four chapbooks & recorded two poetry cd?s.
After hosting Silent Treatment Entertainment?s weekly open mic,
?Spirits and Lyrics? in Manassas for nearly three years she created
their Lock?d & Loaded Cash Slam. Beltway Poetry Slam?s 2011
Newbie Slam Champion, she competes nationally and locally, going to
the Final Stage at Slam Richmond for the second season in a row. On
the road she doesn?t make friends, she enlarges her family with
features in New Jersey, Ohio, Colorado, and Minnesota. A Creative
Writing graduate from Florida State University, she was (re)born and
raised on the Literary Caf_ & Poetry Lounge stage- studying with
the late Will ?Da Real One? Bell. She tries really hard, but she
cannot say funny things about herself. She wrote this
