The 2019 Newly Elected Members of Congress is the most diverse in American history! We’ve elected more women and more persons of color than ever before. We have Muslim, and Native American representation in the house and now, we have more age diversity as well with the addition of several millennials! Please join Busboys and Poets on January 3rd to celebrate this win for DIVERSITY!Â
We are expecting several members of congress to attend including Congress Members Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY14th District), Maxine Waters (D-CA 43rd District), Hank Johnson (D-GA 4th District),  Ro Khanna (D-CA 17th District), Andre Carson (D-IN 7th District), Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX 18th District), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA 7th District) and others.
With special guest moderators, Medea Benjamin (CODEPINK) and Raed Jarrar (Iraqi-American Peace and Human Rights Activist).
There will be an opportunity for discussion with any elected official who is able to join us for this celebratory event.
Free and open to all! Seating is first come first served. Full menu & bar will be available throughout the event.
