A Busboys and Poetry Event hosted this week by Simply Sherri.
California born and Maryland raised, Simply Sherri started writing in 2001 and started reciting her work in 2008 in her poetic home of Baltimore. With topics ranging from love and relationships to depression and verbal abuse, her writing style is easy going and a reflection of her world.
Simply Sherri has spotlighted and featured in New York City, Philadelphia, Washington and Atlanta. In 2010 she released her debut poetry CD Liquefy. She released her first book “Love Simply” in 2015. She is the host of several poetry venues between Baltimore, MD & Washington, DC.
FEATURING: E THE POET EMCEE
E the poet-emcee is 20+ year performance poet veteran. Sharing the stage with The Last Poets and Sonia Sanchez, his work is a continuation of The Black Arts Movement poetry tradition. His latest work "Orishas In 3 Striped Sneakers" is an Afrofuturist project in both book and CD recording.

For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of voices and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open mic rookies, musicians and a different host every week. Expect to be moved, expect a packed house, expect the unexpected, but above all come with an open mind and ear.
