After a 15year hiatus Amanda Seales has returned to her musical roots.
Updating her former moniker, Amanda Diva with 2.0, she has also updated her skillset adding production to her trademark jazzy vocals, and insightful lyricism. Sonically this project is as much a call to arms as a balm to the nervous system, blending up tempo rhythms alongside melodic vibes. Spanning the musical spectrum, it defies genre, invoking 90s hip hop, deep house, roots reggae, and more; a bountiful garden of bass heavy beats steeped in boom bap biodiversity. Lyrically, the artistic intellectual does what the title proclaims; deftly deconstructing complex political ideologies, educating through an expanded and deepened historical geo-political lens, and espousing unwavering love for her Blackness, her womanhood, and her Black womanhood. These are not just records to jam to, they are tracks that seek to inspire, inform, and empower all who listen to commit to projecting and protecting truth as the way to collective liberation.

ARTIST MESSAGE
In a world denigrated by mendacity truth is my religion. I seek it out. I live by it. I swear by it. I believe it to be the most powerful spell breaker. Music is the most powerful spell caster. It has the power to literally shift one’s cellular structure, incite electrical firings in the brain, and effect the nervous system is magical to say the least. Like so many before me who have shaped me with their musical offerings I hope to do the same for folks with this project. This is movement music meant to elevate, empower, and embolden THE PEOPLE out of complacency and fear. May these radical rhythms reach the souls of those that need them.
