Description:

What is the “Night at the Apollo?”

Night at the Apollo is an event in celebration of Black History Month in addition to honoring the historical impact the Harlem Renaissance had on the arts and African American influence within both American entertainment and culture. It is an attempt to pay homage to the Amatuer Night that started at the Apollo Theater which gave its community an opportunity to witness its bright, young talent on that famous stage. With the help provided by the Latin American Youth Center, Drop-in Center, and Busboys and Poets we aim to provide both a stage for our youth to showcase their specialties and a chance for the community to assist in their positive development.
