Description:

Please join Reporters Without Borders in the Langston Room for this event to raise funds for press freedom in  Myanmar. Since the Rohingya crisis began, journalists have been systematically denied access to Rakhine State and areas surrounding it in order to maintain an information "black hole." Currently, Myanmar ranks 133rd out of 180 on RSF's World Press Freedom Index.

The event will feature poetry, music, and performance art by artists from Myanmar and the U.S. A portion of all proeeds raised throughout the evening will go towards protecting press freedom and journalists in what has become an extremely dangerous climate for mdia workers.  The night will conclude with a shourt Q&A with RSF and the artists.

To RSVP, please email Noni Ghani at nghani@rsf.org
