This Hispanic Heritage Month, Busboys and Poets – Hyattsville invites you to celebrate the voices, rhythms, and stories of the Latinx community. Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to honor history, acknowledge resilience, and spotlight the brilliance and diversity of Latinx cultures.
Estamos Aquí is more than an open mic — it’s a space to recognize the contributions of past generations while amplifying the voices shaping our present and future. Whether you’re a poet, storyteller, musician, or a lover of the arts, join us to share, listen, and stand together in celebration of identity, creativity, and community.r.
This special night will be hosted by Tatiana Figueroa Ramirez (@msauciana) — a celebrated poet, teaching artist, and cultural organizer who brings powerful presence and heart to every stage.

About the Host
Tatiana Figueroa Ramirez is a writer and performer based in the Washington, DC area. She earned her B.A. in English Literature from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and her M.A. in Public Management with a focus on Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Maryland.
She is a proud VONA Voices alumna, having studied under Willie Perdomo and Danez Smith, and an Anaphora Arts Writing Residency Fellow. Tatiana has been recognized as the 2020 Burns Whiskey Poetry Slam Champion and the 2023 CFA Practitioner Award recipient.
Her artistry has taken her across the United States and the Dominican Republic, gracing stages at The Kennedy Center, New York University, and more. Today, Tatiana continues to perform, facilitate workshops, and host events throughout the DC area, while also connecting with audiences worldwide
