Join us for a vibrant chalk art activation in front of Busboys and Poets, led by the talented Anacostia native and master artist Mia Duvall. Participants of all ages are invited to unleash their creativity and express themselves through colorful chalk designs that celebrate freedom, heritage, and community. This interactive experience promises to transform the pavement into a stunning canvas, reflecting the spirit of Juneteenth.

ARTIST DESIGNER MURALIST
Mia DuVall is best known for her work as a lead artistcollaborating muralist and art director on some of Washington, DC's most highly regarded and appreciated murals. The work of Mia DuVall is a reflection of a deep love and appreciation for portraiture, design, color and the principles and elements of art and design. Mia uses a variety of mediums in her artwork to express her love of design and color relationships; however, murals/public art have been her primary medium over the past ten years.
Mia DuVall is a native of the Anacostia area in Washington, DC and is also the founder of Mia DuVall Studios LLC, a creative agency and incubator established in Washington, DC.
