Rise + Rhyme is a weekly morning storytelling and performance series for children ages 5 and under with the goals of teaching children to engage with their community, learn to love performing and become rising artivists!
Description: Culture Queen creates empowering entertainment for your royal children! From boogieing down with African, calypso, jazz, and hip-hop beats to singing fun and uplifting lyrics; and learning about inspirational kings and queens throughout history, children and their families are sure to have a royal time. With a spoonful of magic and ancient wisdom, her engaging performance combines movement and storytelling to complement its message of celebrating our rich cultures and all the things that make us proud to be who we are.

We ask that caregivers teach each child how to begin to support performing arts with a $5 admission per child. Additional donations for the performer are always appreciated.
Rise + Rhyme is held every Monday morning in Hyattsville, MD and Takoma, DC and every last Tuesday of the month at 9:30 AM at Busboys and Poets in Shirlington.
