About Mi Casa, Inc.
Founded in 1992, the mission of Mi Casa, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Washington, DC, is to provide quality affordable housing to low- and moderate-income households in the Washington D.C. area to foster healthy, thriving and diverse neighborhoods. As a part of that mission, Mi Casa runs the Co-op Academy which serves as a knowledge sharing network of limited equity co-op members across DC. The Co-op Academy hosts a series of training sessions for co-op members to come together to develop leadership skills and strengthen their co-op communities to keep them healthy and affordable. In honor of National Co-op Month this October, Mi Casa is hosting our first annual Co-op Community Dinner where we will honor our city’s co-op members and this year's Co-op Academy participants.
