There will be two open mics before Round 1 in April. Round 2 will be May 4th at the Anacostia River Festival, Round 3 will be online voting and the Finale will be at the 32nd Giant Annual Barbecue Battle. This year's winner will win the Spoken Word to Go-Go Champion Title, the crystal mic, a recording session with The Experience Band & Show and a cash prize!!

SWGG is an annual competition of spoken word artists who write spoken word poetry to a chosen custom track created by The Experience Band & Show and perform it live in front of a panel of selected judges. Tracklist below.
