Connections, the art exhibition currently on view at the Hyattsville Busboys and Poets, celebrates the diversity in the backgrounds and ages of individuals from the surrounding community that support the restaurant.
Centered in the Hyattsville Arts District and close to the University of Maryland College Park, Busboys and Poets is home for family birthday and graduation celebrations, professional and personal meet-ups, empowering political and social conversations and stimulating poetry performances.
Busboys and Poets radiates culture.Culture is passed on through a variety of ways. It’s an understanding passed on through word and action; connections made via person to person in small and large spaces and a recognition of transformative moments. The images on view in this exhibition are snapshots of time, spaces, places and people connecting public and private moments that celebrate the transfer of culture.
