After 22 years of teaching all types of students, Dr. Rush, teacher/professor turned author, has compiled a book to help students battle the BIG, UGLY beasts of procrastination, test-taking strategies, goal setting and academic success planning. Instead of a boring old lecture or textbook, this book is teaching essential skills through the lens of gaming and anime. Gaming teaches tweens and teens so much about life. The lessons they need to learn for real life are already embedded in the virtual world. Like a game, Dr. Rush will teach students how to win the game of learning, level by level and beating the obstacles that stand in their way! Get your students suited up and ready for an academic battle to graduation and into life!
Dr. Kai Rush is joining us on the Busboys stage to share his tips for winning at every level of school. Copies of the book will be available for purchase during and after the event, and Dr. Kai will be signing following the program.
This event is free and open to all. Our program begins at 6:00 pm, and will be followed by an audience Q&A. Copies of STUDY LIKE A GAMER will be available for purchase before and after the event. Please note that this event is IN PERSON and will NOT be livestreamed.
We ask that guests RSVP in order to receive direct updates about the event from Busboys and Poets Books
