The A.C.T.O.R. (A Continuing Talk on Race) open discussion series is hosted by Busboys and Poets as a community service. It provides the opportunity for people to come together and speak openly and honestly about issues of race. The intent is that each person walks away from the discussion feeling something: challenged, educated, uncomfortable, enlightened, refreshed, reassured and hopefully inspired and moved to action! Each month there is a new topic for discussion.
This month's topic: New Year's Revolutions

The New Year is upon us and many changes are on the horizon.  Now more than ever, activists must resolve to fight vigorously to dismantle the setbacks that we will inevitably suffer under the Trump Presidency.  We will discuss some ways to individually improve race relations and devising a plan for Love to TRUMP Hate!  This discussion will be moderated by Krystal Glass, The Gem.Â
Krystal Glass (yes, that’s her real name), known as the “gem†of real-life conversations for her ability to bring people together to discuss real-life issues.  Krystal Glass is a Conversation Host and Millennial Entrepreneur focused on expanding the power of dialogue to resolve conflicts and build unity. As a Conversation Host, Krystal has hosted an array of conversations including conversations on race relations, social justice, religion, relationships, politics and much more. Krystal Glass prides herself on using her platform to foster dialogue, rather than division.
Free and open to all.Â
A.C.T.O.R. is held on the first Sunday of every month at Busboys and Poets 14th & V from 5:00 PM-7:00 pm.
