Dr. Omekongo"Oh-May-Kongo"Dibinga’s life has been devoted to challenging bias and smashed stereotypes for over 30 years. Dr. Dibinga is Senior Professorial Lecturer of Intercultural Communication at American University. He is an award-winning poet and a world-renown professional speaker working with corporations and school districts across the country on leveraging diversity. Dr. Dibinga earned his Ph.D. in International Education Policy at The University of Maryland (UMD).
His New Book:Lies About Black People: How to Combat Racist Stereotypes and Why it Matters is designed for anyone who wants to examine their own biases and behaviors with a deeper critical lens in order to take action, make change, and engage positively in thefight for racial equality.

The intent is that each person walks away from the discussion feeling something: challenged, educated, uncomfortable, enlightened, refreshed, reassured and hopefully inspired and moved to action!
