The Breakfast of Champions is an annual celebration of the largest monetary donors and most impactful in-kind donors to Words Beats & Life.
This year’s breakfast will take place at Busboys and Poets located at 14th and V St NW from 8am-9am. The Breakfast of Champions is co-hosted by our amazing Board of Directors and WBL Staff. With up to 10% of our annual operating budget coming directly from public support and earned income, we know how truly impactful our Champions are in supporting the work we do with DC youth and families through Hip-Hop.
Our intention is to use a portion of the funds raised at this breakfast to launch an endowment at the GReater Washington Community Foundation to sustain the work of WBL for the next 21 years.
This year we will honor three amazing supporters of our work:

Kenysha Bartee and
Magee McIlvaine
