Local author, Zeina Hamad, has just released the newest installment children's series, Matti & Massi Missions.
Matti and Massi have landed in Washington DC and have limited hours to explore the Nation's Capital. Their Mission Coach Nia will guide them on a scavenger hunt of a lifetime, being sure to collect evidence of all 6 tasks on their Mission Checklist, or risk missing their flight home. Readers will get to explore the city as they learn about DC's history, architecture, food and culture.
Some of the great features in the book include:
- Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History
- Ben's Chili Bowl
- WMATA Metro
- Gallaudet University
- DC Tourism
- Dupont Circle
- Go-go Music
- Numerous landmarks and monuments
This book also showcases American Sign Language throughout!
Zeina Hamad joins Busboys to read this fun and adventurous story, and answer all your questions! Reading age for this book is 4 - 10 years.
This event is free and open to all. Our program begins at 5:00 pm, and will be followed by a Q&A for both kids and parents. Copies of MATTI & MASSI MISSIONS will be available for purchase after the event, and there will be a signing. Full dinner service is available throughout the show. Please note that this event will not be livestreamed.
We ask that guests RSVP in order to receive direct updates about the event from Busboys and Poets Books. Proof of RSVP may be requested on arrival if capacity is reached.
