Politics & Prose at Busboys and Poets 14th & V will welcome author/illustrator Lulu Delacre on Wednesday, March 23 for an event. Her newest book is ¡Olinguito, de la A a la Z! / Olinguito from A to Z! This bilingual, alliterative alphabetical adventure celebrates the Ecuadorian cloud forest and all its inhabitants, but most especially the olinguito. This round-eyed, bushy-tailed mammal, also known as a tutamono (“night monkeyâ€), makes multiple appearances throughout pages that are full to bursting with names of plants and animals that share the olinguito’s environment. Extensive explanatory text includes the story of how a zoologist at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History discovered this mysterious creature only recently, publishing his findings in 2013.
