He and his best friend, Coby, are talented soccer players; a beautiful girl seems to like him back; and his linguistics professor father has seen to it that Nick has an incredible vocabulary. It’s amazing, though, how quickly things can start to unravel. Bullies target him and Coby, his mom makes a devastating announcement, and an emergency trip to the hospital keeps him out of an important soccer tournament.
