The Last Stand Quartet has been performing together since December of 2010. Violinists Joel Fuller and Alexandra Osborne, violist Mahoko Eguchi and cellist Rachel Young, are all members of the National Symphony Orchestra and share a passion for chamber music.Â
They have enjoyed performing for a wide range of audiences through their concerts on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center, the Odeon chamber Series, the Mount Vernon Chamber Series, a collaborative performance with Kentucky Shakespeare entitled Sonnets and Soliloquies, a concert at the DC gathering place Busboys and Poets, and a Hip-Hop collaboration through the National Symphony Orchestra’s In Your Neighborhood initiative.Â
The Last Stand Quartet also collaborated with pianist Christoph Eschenbach, oboist Nicholas Stovall, bassist Anthony Manzo, and actors Reiko Aylesworth, Rob Clare and Liev Schreiber.
