Description:

Join Busboys and Poets, Americans for Democracy & Human Rights in Bahrain (ADHRB) and Split This Rock and Busboys and for a night of poetry in protest of restrictions on free and artistic expression in the Middle East and North Africa. 

The evening honors the imprisoned Qatari poet Mohammed al-Ajami, who is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence for the contents of his poetry. Attendees will have an opportunity to sign a petition for his release.

Featured poets include Rasha Abdulhadi, Sarah Browning, Zein El-Amine, Amin Drew Law, and Joseph Ross.
