A Busboys and Poetry Event hosted this week by Amin Law

Drew Law is a rare breed of entertainer; branching out into several different categories of performing arts with relentless fervor, and showmanship. A Hip-Hop artist who has opened for such superstars as Method Man, Pitbull, EPMD, Biz Markie, Slick Rick, and Dougie Fresh. Drew is also a renowned poet in the city of Washington, D.C. touching on subjects of love, heartbreak, and struggle. Drew is a member of the 2011 Beltway Slam team who finished in the top 8 in the country and 2011 NUSPA (National Underground Spoken Word Poetry Awards) nominee for "Best Performance: Male."

For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of voices, and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open mic rookies, musicians and a different host every week. Expect to be moved, expect a packed house, expect the unexpected, but above all come with an open mind and ear.
