Serwa MKA Agyeman was born in Washington, DC. The third and youngest daughter of the late Frederick H. Williams Jr. and Mary Ellen Williams she and her sisters grew up in Washington, DC. Having a love for the arts, born to a Jazz enthusiast and a former dancer, Serwa Kenyetta would follow her mother's passion for dance and attend Duke Ellington School of the Arts as a dance, then theatre major. As legacy continues all three of her children are artist in their own right.
