More Than 100 Events Across the Country Will Mark National Youth Enrollment Day
The Happy Hour & Trivia Night for young adults ages 18 to 34 will feature games, music, free food and refreshments, along with information about health insurance enrollment through the Maryland marketplace.
Research shows that aside from the elderly, young people end up in the emergency room more often than any other age group. However, nearly one in five young adults in the United States lacks health insurance to cover the expenses associated with emergency room care. National Youth Enrollment Day is an annual day of action featuring dozens of national, state, and local organizations hosting innovative events to educate young people about the importance of health insurance coverage, local options for coverage, as well as how to enroll.
This second annual day of action comes before the last day of Open Enrollment on January 31st.
