By age twenty-eight, McKenzie was well on her way to achieving the life she’d always dreamed of. She lived in New York, had an exciting job as an entertainment producer for ABC, a large circle of friends, a close-knit family, and a boyfriend who would do anything for her—except propose. As she went to ever greater lengths to try to add marriage to her list of accomplishments, McKenzie realized she was chasing an image that might not be as fulfilling as it seemed. In this frank and spirited memoir, McKenzie, creator of the Fab Empire website, recounts how she negotiated the challenges of adulthood and arrived at a truer sense of herself.
