Steven Hill is a writer, lecturer and political professional based in the United States with over two decades of experience in politics. He is a former senior fellow with the New America Foundation and Holtzbrinck fellow at the American Academy in Berlin. Mr. Hill is a frequent speaker at academic, government, NGO and business events, speaking on a wide range of topics related to politics, economics, climate change, global complexity, and future trends. Mr. Hill is cofounder of FairVote/Center for Voting and Democracy and former Director of the Political Reform Program at the New America Foundation. He is a graduate of Yale University and Western Washington University/Fairhaven College, and lives in San Francisco, CA. Mr. Hill also paints, writes plays, fiction and poetry, and composes and plays music. His short plays have been produced in New York City and San Francisco.
