Busboys and Poets @ Takoma opened doors on Valentine's Day 2015. Our grand opening party "Busboys Takoma" celebrated our new neighborhood with proceeds from the event benefitting The Takoma Foundation. Mayor Muriel Bowser was in attendance to welcome Busboys to the Ward she calls home, Ward 4.

Busboys @ Takoma boasts an event space named in honor of Nicolás Guillén, a Cuban poet, activist and writer, that will host poetry events, private event, and other community events. DC's independent bookstore Politics & Prose is housed in this location and offesr a diverse selection of books and a series of author readings and book signings.

As always, a commitment to sustainability and environmentalism is important to this location. With our offering of sustainable products from our take-out products, cleaning supplies, to our food, coffee, and tea sourcing, we hope to make a contribution to the growing movement to raise environmental consciousness.
