New year, new jokes! Start the year off right with resolutions to laugh more and support women in comedy. You can do both the first Jynx Comedy Night of 2020!

Jynx Comedy Night delivers high-energy, empowering comedy. Our versatile, often edgy comedians have performed at venues such as The DC Improv, Drafthouse Comedy DC, DC Comedy Loft, the Kennedy Center, and at festivals including the District of Comedy Festival and the Chicago Women’s Funny Festival. Our headliner this month is has been on 2 Dope Queens and is featured in the film “American Comic” on Amazon Prime. With so much talent every month, you’re guaranteed to have a good time.Jynx Comedy Night is brought to you by Busboys and Poets in coordination with Project Thalia, an organization that celebrates female artists and amplifies the voices of people who identify as women, women of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. This is a supportive and empowering event that fosters an atmosphere of caring, compassion, and kindness – where politics and art collide with intention and fun.

Hosted by Sofia Javed (IG: @sofjaved) and headlined by Natalie McGill (IG: @hoothollersnap), this showcase will be the perfect start to a new year of comedy.
