Description:

Focused on the power of spoken word poetry to provoke, educate, and bear witness through storytelling and metaphor, these workshops combine elements of hip-hop, spoken word, and narrative to assist participants in creating poems that radiate, pop, and explode with undeniable truth. 

Part of the Louder Than a Bomb - DMV Teen Poetry Slam Festival, all teenagers are welcome to join this creative writing workshop sponsored by the DC Commission on Arts and Humanities and facilitated by the Teaching Artists of Split This Rock's DC Youth Poetry Slam Team.

Free for all teenagers.  No registration required.
