A Busboys and
Poetry Event! For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of
voices and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open
mic rookies, musicians, and a different host every week. Tonight's host is Drew Law Drew Law is a rare
breed of entertainer; branching out into several different
categories of performing arts with relentless fervor, and
showmanship. A Hip-Hop artist who has opened for such superstars as
Method Man, Pitbull, EPMD, Biz Markie, Slick Rick, and Dougie Fresh.
Drew is also a renowned poet in the city of Washington, D.C.
touching on subjects of love, heartbreak, and struggle. Drew is a
member of the 2011 Beltway Slam team who finished in the top 8 in
the country and 2011 NUSPA (National Underground Spoken Word Poetry
Awards) nominee for "Best Performance: Male." Expect to be moved, expect a packed house, expect the
unexpected, but above all, come with an open mind and ear.
Wristbands

midnight prior to the event, and on-site at the Busboys and Poets Book

Seating
is available on a first come, first seated basis. No saved or
reserved seats are allowed. Failure to check in within 30 minutes
of advertised start time may result in a forfeiture of seats.
