Storytellers will have 7 minutes to tell a true, personal funny
story on the theme "trashy" (whatever that means to the
teller; literal, figurative, etc.). No notes or props are allowed. The
Judges' funniest will be announced at the end of the night and will
receive a $150 Cash Prize. The audience will also select its funniest.
Both winners go on to compete in Story League ALL-STARS (tournament),
where the prize jumps to $300! And the winners will also be featured
on our podcast, "Story League WINNERS" (

Deadline is Wednesday, July 9 at 3 o'clock. Our 3 expert judges will
consider all story idea submissions and decide which stories they most
wish to hear. You will be notified by Friday, July 11, whether you are
guaranteed to go on.Â
Also: 2 storytellers will be selected randomly at the contest.
Pre-selected storytellers will be strongly encouraged to do a
phone coaching session for their story.
