A Busboys and
Poetry Event! For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of
voices and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open
mic rookies, musicians, and a different host every week. Tonight's host is Beny Blaq. Brooklyn, NY native
Beny Blaq is an internationally recognized poet and promoter who
inspires audiences with his prose and entertains party-goers with the
finest nightlife events in the city through his company, Beny Blaq
Entertainment (BBE). He has performed at over 50 colleges and
universities, appeared on various radio and TV outlets, such as BET?s
Lyric Cafe, TV One and WHUR, and made an appearance on HBO?s hit
series ?The Wire?.
Expect to be moved, expect a packed house, expect the
unexpected, but above all, come with an open mind and ear.
Wristbands

midnight prior to the event, and on-site at the Busboys and Poets
Book Store until sold out. Limit 4 wristbands per person. Sorry,
no refunds.
Seating
is available on a first come, first seated basis. No saved or
reserved seats are allowed. Failure to check in within 30
minutes of advertised start time may result in a
forfeiture of seats.
