Join CODEPINK DC and Jewish Voice for Peace-DC Metro Chapter as we
host our sister group Coalition of Women for Peace for a panel event!
CWP is a Israeli feminist organization against the occupation of
Palestine and for a just peace. The group was founded in November 2000
after the outbreak of the Second Intifada. CWP will talk about their
feminist campaigns to demilitarize Israel and end the occupation of
Palestine, Jewish Voice for Peace-DC Metro will talk about the effort
to squelch free speech on college campuses across the U.S. through
state and national legislation, with first-hand knowledge of what
activists in Maryland are doing to defeat such a state bill from
passing, and we'll also have a chance to hear reportbacks from the
CODEPINK delegation that was prevented from going to Gaza for
International Women's Day.
