Busboys and Poets Welcomes the Saudi Young Leaders Exchange Program (SYLEP), a multi-phased leadership experience for 32 Saudi university students or recently-graduated students between the ages of 21-26 and 3 U.S. Cultural Ambassadors administered by Legacy International. SYLEP 2019 seeks to build leadership skills, civic responsibility, appreciation for cultural diversity, community engagement and volunteerism with a theme of building healthy lifestyles and strong communities. Phase 1 is a 3-week US Program. Phase 2 involves implementing learning through an innovative community action project designed while in the US. During our Pitch Event, on July 16th, the participants will be showcasing their ideas for their community action projects.
