Anti-racist feminist activists, scholars and writers, Zillah Eisenstein, Farah Tanis and Tithi Bhattacharya will come together to celebrate the new books: Abolitionist Socialist Feminism, Radicalizing the Next Revolution and Feminism for the 99%, A Manifesto. We are hoping for an evening of discussion and sharing about the urgent demands of this moment, and a building of camaraderie for doing this. Come ready to expand our political horizons together as we think through and move towards 2020—both electorally and more radically with our movements.
Farah Tanis is the co-founder and director of BLACK WOMEN’S BLUEPRINT and is a force today for all Black women, and therefore all of us—cis and trans and…Her/their most recent initiative is SISTAS VANS, a mobile crisis unit to address abortion bans and rape crisis.
Tithi Bhattacharya is a Marxist feminist scholar/activist most notably of social reproduction theory, an organizer of The International Women’s Strike/US, and one of the authors of Feminism for the 99%.
Zillah Eisenstein is an activist anti-racist feminist scholar for the last three decades. Her many books track the rise of neo-liberalism with its racist and anti-feminist underpinnings and its continuous assault against people and women of color and white women. Her most recent book Abolitionist Socialist Feminism ask us to act now with a new inclusivity against the multiple regimes of power.Â
