Description:

November is Native American Heritage Month! But it is also a time to come together with friends and family to celebrate Thanksgiving.

This month’s Jynx Comedy Night features indigenous comedians to help you celebrate November. And why not have a low stress Friendsgiving at Busboys and Poets (gluten free and vegan options)?

Jynx Comedy Night delivers high-energy, empowering comedy. Our versatile, often edgy comedians have performed at venues such as The DC Improv, Drafthouse Comedy DC, DC Comedy Loft, and at festivals including The Chicago Women’s Funny Festival. With so much talent every month, you’re guaranteed to have a good time.

Join us for Jynx Comedy Night! Our show features some of the boldest, most diverse, and powerful female voices in the DC comedy scene bringing their fresh and unique perspectives to the stage. Our lineup of comedians has made several notable appearances including the DC Improv, Underground Comedy Festival, and various comedy clubs and festivals throughout the country.

This show is brought to you in partnership with Project Thalia, a woman-owned company that produces comedy in the DMV. Project Thalia's mission is to create and promote opportunities for women of every race and every definition. By supporting Jynx Comedy Night, you are reaffirming that representation and inclusion matter in your local comedy scene.

Our lineup, hosted by Gigi Modrich (IG: @gigimodrich), will include:

Sofia Javed (IG: @sofjaved)

MacKenzie Bills (IG: @mackenziebills)

Melissa Emmal (IG: @mgeAK)

Sara Hernández (IG: @hypofeminine)

Suzanne Windsor (IG: @TheSuZOfficial)

Maddox Pennington (IG: @mkpindc)

Jynx Comedy Night is brought to you by Busboys and Poets in coordination with Project Thalia, an organization that celebrates female artists and amplifies the voices of people who identify as women, women of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. This is a supportive and empowering event that fosters an atmosphere of caring, compassion, and kindness – where politics and art collide with intention and fun.

Seating is first come first served. Full menu & bar will be available throughout the event.

$10 tickets available online! [full menu + bar available throughout the event]
