Janice E.C. Coleman is a woman of many trades. Not only is she an author, but a mother, 2nd degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, kickboxing instructor, personal trainer, and bassist. Coleman always wanted to write a book, but never came upon an idea that intrigued her, until one night. While attending a ghost tour in Ellicott City, MD with her husband and daughter, she stared up at one of the haunted windows and was inspired. And thus, Night Walker was born.

Night Walker: On a dark London street, someone lurks in the shadows, even becomes a shadow. The shadow judges, plots, and waits, until the prey is in sight. And then…

Anna Pearson, a 28-year old American punk-rocker turned career woman, has always been drawn to scary things, and even scarier men. New to London, she attends a ghost tour where she meets Tom Hall, the attractive, enigmatic tour guide. During this tour, Anna experiences a sudden, unexplained pain that surges through her body, and then it vanishes in an instant. Tom, intrigued by Anna, asks her to tea. These events set in motion a journey through Tom’s dark past, Anna’s odd premonitions, and a media frenzy regarding a rash of vigilantism and hate crimes plaguing the streets of London.

Although a dark and unnerving mystery with a violent edge, at its core, Night Walker tells the tale of two people who face extraordinary circumstances where passion, doubt, and fate drive their unrelenting love.

Nicole Burton is the author of twenty plays as well as Swimming up the Sun: A Memoir of Adoption. Her plays have been produced at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Arena Stage, Round House Theater, Metro Stage, the University of District of Columbia, and the U.S. Capitol. She immigrated to the U.S. from England with her family in 1968 and lives in Riverdale Park, Maryland.

Adamson's 1969: When Adamson Henry’s family strands him in America during his last year of high school, he must navigate a strange land alone. A young Englishman, Adamson faces dating, cross-country adventures, Woodstock, antiwar protests, college, tragedy, and more, all while avoiding the draft. Welcome to Adamson's 1969. In this debut novel, Nicole Burton weaves a tapestry of an action-packed year in American history, as seen through the eyes of a guileless young Englishman. Adamson's 1969 arrives just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of 1969.

Dr. Julie Lopez was first trained as a systems engineer, but ultimately discovered her passion lay with an infinitely more complicated system—the human system. A former university professor, she founded Viva Partnership, a mental health collaborative specializing in non-verbal treatment approaches, including brain- and body-based therapies. Having experienced her own seemingly nonsensical struggles as an adoptee with the “perfect life,” Dr. Julie shares the science that helped remove her own personal and professional roadblocks and also inspires her work. She currently runs a postgraduate training program on Trauma Informed Clinical Practice.

Live Empowered!: Have you ever found yourself puzzled by an inability to act on something important that seems logically within your reach? Do you notice that invisible barriers seem to keep you from making desired changes? Some of these roadblocks may seem minor, others insurmountable. Now you can get past them by hacking into the hidden regions of your mind that influence your daily life.

Live Empowered! is a different kind of self-help resource. No simple solutions here. Dr. Julie Lopez offers valuable information on the neuropsychology surrounding implicit memory, the past experiences you can’t recall but which remain stored deep within your subconscious mind. Live Empowered! provides a comprehensive primer on emerging brain- and body-based tools that can help you overcome what is holding you back, all delivered in an easy-to-follow format. Whether you’re facing a small obstacle or a large one, conquering it is now within your reach.
