A Busboys and Poetry Event hosted this week by Chris Thomas
No stranger to the stage, Chris Thomas has graced numerous venues. Along his journey, Chris has blasted his story at Studio 2001 Art Gallery, Angelina College, Howard University, Eleanor Roosevelt High School and Journey of Faith United Methodist Church. Just to name a few venues.
Chris Thomas raises his voice through his art for the benefit of Child Abuse Prevention Awareness, Black Lives Matter, SGL (Same Gender Loving) and the LGBT community. He knows there are many other minds, bodies and souls to be touched by his message. He intends to continue to challenge mindsets and command stages.
Ladies and gentleman, Chris Thomas.
FEATURING: BUTTERFLY FREE
Butterfly Free-Sassy,witty,occasionally vulnerable, the self proclaimed "closet poet" as she calls herself first hit the scene at the age of 18 where she preformed at the LEGENDARY Spit Dat. After doing so Butterfly Free developed a hunger for Spoken Word. She has performed at open mics all over the DMV and Philadelphia and has even spotlighted and featured at Busboys 5th and K and at the Sugar Bar in New York City leaving jaws dropped by her spontaneous yet emotionally driven pieces. She gets her inspiration from life itself. And is currently working on her first book “A Butterfly’s Mixtape†One of her favorite quotes is from the riveting play “For Colored Girls†“You can’t have me...unless I give me away.â€
