Description:

A Busboys and Poetry Event hosted this week by Droopy the Broke Baller

"Oh, we've got a live one here! HAHAHA!" - Jack Nicholson as The Joker, Batman (1989)

Drew Anderson, known lovingly as "Droopy the Broke Baller" and "The Black Weird Al Yankovic", has been hosting at the flagship Busboys and Poets 14th & V nearly since its inception, proudly serving as Venue Captain. He brings his signature comedic style to the stage when hosting there on 3rd Tuesdays, converting casual attendees into regulars with his wild parodies and improvisational riffs on everything going on inside and outside of the room. Droopy is also a repeat Arts & Humanities Fellow with the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities, founder and co-host of the award-winning Spit Dat (the District's longest-running open mic), and creator of the innovative teaching arts residencies Spoof School and C.R.U.N.K. Academy.

FEATURING: Kenneth Something

Kenneth Something is a Problack, SGL artivist. He is the founder of DewMore Baltimore, an award winning literary arts organization. Kenneth is author of Bricks and Dandelions and coauthor of Baldwin Sent Me. He is a National Poetry Slam Champion and the current Baltimore Grand Slam Champion.
