FEATURING: KHALIL HOUSTON

Khalil Houston is a Spoken Word artist out of Richmond, Virginia and has an incredible gift with words. As a child, Khalil has always embodied the art of creative thinking, and expression. His relationship with poetry started at the age of ten when he was assigned to perform a poem in front of his class. After losing his three brothers to a triple homicide, Poetry became essential to his life. He also attends Virginia Commonwealth University, while gaining his bachelor degree in English, and Science in humanities. Despite his age, he speaks on many powerful topics that magnifies our daily struggles as a nation. Through the art form of poetry, he has chosen to not only tell his story, but to also tell ours.
